Augusta University will host See Augusta, an event for prospective students, on March 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event aims to introduce future students and their families to the campus, faculty, academic programs, and student support services.

The day will begin at the Summerville Campus with a welcome session led by university leadership, who will discuss Augusta University’s mission and values. Attendees can expect sessions covering financial aid, housing options, and the admissions process. Representatives from various student support departments will be available to answer questions.

Amy Smith, EdD, acting vice president of Enrollment and Student Affairs, said, “See Augusta allows future Jaguars and their families to get much more information than they would during a daily campus visit. While AU travels all over Georgia and South Carolina to talk about the opportunities we can provide to college-bound students, nothing tells our story better than our campus itself. Guests can picture themselves walking through the grounds and can directly interact with our faculty, staff, and students to get the true Jaguar experience!”

Sam Reece, coordinator of campus visit experience, encouraged attendees to bring questions about affordability, safety, academic support, housing, and career outcomes. According to Reece, local CSRA students often discover new opportunities during these visits that they were not aware of before.

Reece also noted that experiencing the campus in person helps students make informed decisions about where they want to study. “See Augusta gives students the opportunity to feel the community, see the diversity of involvement, and understand the support systems in place,” said Reece. “It turns AU from an option into a first-choice university.”

For those already accepted for Summer or Fall 2026 admission, there will be an Admitted Students Celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Douglas Barnard Jr. Amphitheatre on Summerville Campus. This event includes activities and music for incoming students.

All prospective students—including high schoolers of any age and potential transfer students—are invited along with their families. More information about registration is available on the See Augusta website.
