The U.S. Census Bureau has updated its OnTheMap application and the Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) Origin-Destination Employment Statistics (LODES) with new data for 2023. The update also includes backfilled employment data for Mississippi covering the years 2019 to 2022, as well as an updated geography using the 2024 TIGER/Line vintage.

OnTheMap is an online tool that allows users to visualize where people live and work. It was created through a collaboration between the Census Bureau and partner states involved in the Local Employment Dynamics program.

There is no formal news release associated with this product update, only a tip sheet.
