Registration is now open for members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) to attend the 55th International Convention of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU). The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, located at 265 Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia.

The CBTU Convention serves as a national gathering for trade unionists to discuss important labor issues. According to organizers, last year’s convention included workshops focused on organizing, conflict resolution, leadership development, building power, and sharing strategies to strengthen both individual unions and the broader labor movement.

A special group room rate of $185 per night plus taxes is available for attendees at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. The deadline to reserve rooms at this rate is April 24, 2026. Reservations require a one-night credit card deposit that can be refunded if canceled by April 15, 2026. After the cutoff date, reservations will depend on availability and may be subject to higher rates.

Organizers recommend using the official CBTU booking link as the preferred method for making hotel reservations. IAM members also have the option to book by phone at 1-877-803-7534 by referencing CBTU.
