Forest Hills Golf Club has introduced new Augusta University branding across its facilities, following recent renovations, according to an April 2 announcement by the university.
The changes are intended to strengthen the connection between the golf club and both Augusta University and the local community. Forest Hills serves as the home course for the university’s Division I men’s and women’s golf teams.
President Russell T. Keen said, “Forest Hills has long been a place where Augusta University and our community come together, and these enhancements make that relationship even more visible. This course is not only a valued community resource, it is an integral part of Augusta University and the home course of our Division I men’s and women’s golf teams.” He added that visitors should recognize they are entering a space shaped by the institution’s legacy.
Renovations began in 2024 and included updates such as new branding on entrance awnings and pavilions, exterior cleaning, fresh paint at key locations including the clubhouse walkway, as well as refreshed signage throughout the facility. Director of Marketing & Creative Services Taylor Lamb said, “With the guidance of President Keen, we reimagined everything from the official logos, signage at the facility and on the course, a new website, updated social media and brand-new licensed merchandise in the pro shop. Forest Hills Golf Club is now truly home of the Jaguars.”
The club features an 18-hole course originally designed by Donald Ross in 1926 with later renovations by Arnold Palmer Company in 2003. It holds historical significance through its association with Bobby Jones who played there during his Grand Slam year.
Steven Paine, Director of Golf and men’s head coach at Augusta University said he appreciates seeing more representation for university golf: “I think for people… it’s nice to be able know when you walk on that property that this is the home of Augusta University golf.”
Student athletes Sara Adams and Bo Blanchard described how seeing their team’s identity throughout Forest Hills gives them pride in calling it their home course. Adams said seeing AU logos around each hole makes her feel connected to both her team and school: “Every single hole… gives you a sense of this is our home.” Blanchard highlighted how increased visibility strengthens ties between players and supporters: “Now to have branding around… everyone is rallying around the university. It’s great for school.”
The enhanced branding aims to foster greater unity among students, athletes, staff members, alumni—and all visitors—by making clear Forest Hills’ role within both campus life and local tradition.
