The 2025 IAM International President’s Classic golf tournament raised over $150,000 for the Maine Museum of Innovation, Learning and Labor (Maine MILL). The event took place at Fox Ridge Golf Club in Auburn, Maine, and gathered members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), labor allies, and supporters from across North America.

The funds will support Maine MILL’s mission to preserve the stories of workers, immigrants, and communities that contributed to Maine’s mill industry. The museum is located in Lewiston, Maine.

“This event is about honoring the history of working people and giving back to the communities that raised us,” said IAM International President Brian Bryant. “Supporting Maine MILL means preserving the stories of the working class. As someone who grew up in Maine, this cause is close to my heart, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished together.”

The tournament included dozens of teams participating in golf as well as raffles and giveaways. Remarks were delivered by leaders from both IAM Union and Maine MILL. Participants represented a broad segment of the labor movement.

Rachel Ferrante, Executive Director of the Maine MILL, commented on the impact: “This incredible show of support from International President Bryant and the IAM Union will help us continue preserving and celebrating the legacy of Maine’s workers. We’re so grateful to everyone who participated and donated. Your generosity is making history.”

Proceeds from this year’s tournament are allocated for rehabilitating the former Camden Yarns Mill into a permanent home for Maine MILL. Construction has started on this project with an expected opening in summer 2026. The new facility will include space for permanent collections, temporary galleries, classrooms, a children’s area, and a design lab.

More than 50 organizations sponsored holes at the event. Top sponsors included several divisions within IAM such as its International President’s Office, Eastern Territory, District 4, Local S6; as well as Jones Granger Law Firm and Employee Benefit Systems Inc., among others.

Silver sponsors featured other IAM territories—Canadian Territory, Air Transport Territory—and additional partners like National Group Protection and American Income Life.
