Registration is now open for the 2026 Veteran’s Advocate Training organized by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Veteran Services Department. The training will take place from February 8 to 13, 2026, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland. Members interested in participating must submit their registration by Monday, December 15, 2025.
The program offers U.S. Veterans Affairs benefits training delivered by certified professionals. Those who complete the course will join the IAM-wide Veteran Service Officer (VSO) team. This network of trained advocates assists IAM members who are U.S. military veterans.
According to IAM, “Through this course, members acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to assist veterans in navigating the often-complex VA benefits system, ensuring that our brothers and sisters who served receive the support, resources, and respect they deserve.”
Details about tuition, transportation, and curriculum are included in the call letter provided by IAM.
Members can register using the Departmental Program Registration Form. For further questions or information, contact the IAM Veteran Services Department at 301-967-4500.
