Today marks Giving Tuesday, an annual event encouraging people to support charitable organizations following Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) has announced its support for Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines (GDA | TLC) as part of the “Holidays of Hope” fundraising campaign.

The organization is urging donations to GDA | TLC, emphasizing that contributions will assist military veterans with PTSD, individuals who are blind or visually impaired, and children with autism by providing them with service dogs. According to the IAM, these service dogs offer recipients increased confidence, companionship, and hope.

“Each donation you make today will directly benefit a military veteran with PTSD, a person who is blind or visually impaired, or a child with autism who needs the life-changing confidence, love, and hope that a service dog provides,” stated the IAM in its announcement.

The campaign highlights the importance of community involvement during the holiday season and encourages individuals to consider supporting causes that have meaningful impacts on people’s lives.
