The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) held its annual MNPL Conference in Savannah, Georgia on March 31. Approximately 300 IAM union members gathered to discuss labor politics and fundraising efforts as they prepared for the upcoming midterm elections.
The conference featured updates from legislative leaders who spoke about strategies and the path forward for labor advocacy. The event aimed to equip attendees with information on current political issues affecting workers and unions.
Following the conference, IAM delegates joined the No Kings rally and march in downtown Savannah. Participants used this opportunity to voice their concerns about what they described as poor labor policies by the President.
Events like these reflect ongoing efforts by union members to engage in political action and advocate for worker rights at both local and national levels.
Looking ahead, IAM members are expected to continue their involvement in legislative advocacy as midterm elections approach.
