The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Union joined forces with the Alliance for Retired Americans at the organization’s annual pension symposium. The event, led by retired IAM General Secretary-Treasurer Robert Roach, Jr., focused on concerns regarding political actions that may threaten Social Security and retirement plans relied upon by older Americans, including many members of the IAM Union.
Participants at the symposium highlighted efforts to protect these earned benefits and called attention to ongoing challenges facing retirees. The gathering served as a platform for labor groups to coordinate strategies in defense of retirement security.
