Dozens of workers from Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico, joined by supporters, gathered at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport and at the company’s Aguadilla facility to protest what they describe as union-busting actions by the company. The demonstrators called on Lufthansa Technik to end tactics that they say are aimed at dividing workers and to respect the professionals responsible for maintaining aircraft safety.

Protesters expressed concerns about efforts to undermine union representation among employees. Their message to the company was clear: “stop the union-busting tactics, end the efforts to divide workers, and respect the professionals who keep aircraft flying safely every day.”

The demonstration took place both at the main international airport in San Juan and at Lufthansa Technik’s local facility in Aguadilla.
